Gull Lake LEED Home
Wilson Bay, Gull Lake, MinnesotaIndoor Air Quality
Air ducts were sealed during construction to prevent containments from entering the heating and cooling system. High-efficiency air filters are used throughout the house. Extra measures were taken during the foundation’s construction to protect against radon gas. Airtight seals between the home and the garage, and an exhaust fan in the garage prevent car exhaust and other contaminants from entering the home. The properly designed and balanced heating and cooling systems control indoor moisture, provide fresh outdoor air, and balance air pressures inside and outside the home, insuring maximum energy-efficiency and optimal indoor air quality. An independent testing service (shown here) was used to verify the heating and cooling system’s effectiveness.
