Maximizing Energy Performance

Building consultants were used to design the heating and cooling systems for maximum efficiency.  The wall insulation factor was increased from R19 to R21. The attic insulation was increased from R44 to R60. In the Syvantis Technologies offices, a system of dampers redistributes heat from the server room to the offices during winter months.  During the summer, a utility company program cycles air conditioning during peak times resulting in more energy savings. Heat pumps further help reduce heating and cooling costs, while compact mini fluorescent lights in conference rooms and on the exterior of the buildings plus low-energy fluorescent lighting in office areas helps minimize energy use.

Estimated Savings: $148,000 in heating and cooling costs over 10 years, $55,000 in energy savings over ten years.
